1 month

Sophia Christine turned 1 month old on Friday March 2nd. This month has flown by, it really is hard to believe that it's been that long. She had her check up with the pediatrician on Monday. (Rob calls him Dr. Tool. We really like him but he's a bit of a dork...which is right up our alley.)

Here are her details:

Height: 20.87in, 36th percentile
Weight: 7 lbs, 12 oz, 11th percentile
Head Circumference: 35 cm, 5th percentile

She has gained 1 lbs 10 oz in weight and a little over 2 inches in length!

On average she is gaining almost a half a pound and a half of an inch in a week. That's hard work for such a little peanut.

Every month for Sophia's first year I hope to write a letter to her. I will likely post these here as well.

Bath Time

Sophia FINALLY had her first bath...the day after her 1 month Birthday. We are, clearly, lazy parents. I think we were a bit afraid that she would scream a lot...she didn't! She seemed to like it and did not scream or cry at all. So, we'll likely plan on bathing her regularly. Phew - her teenage self will thank us!

Robby took a bunch of pictures, they can be found in Sophia's album or go here for just the bath pictures.

Juli's Visit

Juli came to visit us last weekend. She arrived on Thursday and left Monday evening. She took super good care of us - cooked, cleaned, and put up with my lazy over-tired attitude. Sophia loves her...and that is a great thing.

This picture is blurry but I really like it because it looks as though they are making the same face.

Partners in Crime.
We went to Old Navy over the weekend and got Sophia some "real" cloths. She doesn't fit into much of what we have and most of those items are pajama type cloths. We couldn't resist getting her a little pair of blue jeans!

Look at that goofie face, she's really getting big! She'll be one month tomorrow. We have a pediatrician appointment on Monday.
